This film is the story of a young man ' Prem Sagar' ( Shashi Kapoor) who is newly married. And in a college, he starts the work of a teacher but instead of this bond he remains lost in the memory of the free student life. When he learns that his wife ' Indu' ( Leela Naidu) is going to give birth to a child, he becomes even more nervous. In the condition of ill-will, he wanders somewhere in the hope of help and sympathy. And struggles with financial constraints. But no one supports him. He finally realizes that his own wife ' Indu' ( Leela Naidu) is the true partner of his grief and happiness and then he is able to happily pull out the whole of his household.
