This was the Hindi film debut of music director Karthik Raja, Ilaiyaraaja's eldest son.
This was the only film released by Jackie Shroff's production house, Jackie Shroff Entertainment.
One of the film's producers, Prakash Jaju, would go on to become the business manager of Priyanka Chopra. They parted ways acrimoniously over a financial dispute. Jaju was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for sending threatening messages to her.
